Portadown 2-2 Glenavon

All festivities were set aside for 90 minutes at Shamrock Park as Mid-Ulster's rivals went head to head in what proved to be a passionate affair.

A draw was probably a fair result with Glenavon, for a change, grabbing the late goal.

Prints from this memorable derby are available in various sizes. Drop me an email at greenaway39@btinternet.com for details.

Glenavon 1-1 Lisburn Distillery

After a great run of results recently (none of which I was able to attend) Glenavon dropped to vital points at home, leading me to think I am a jinx!

To echo the gaffer's thoughts - "it felt like a defeat", when ex-Glenavon legend Glenn Ferguson popped up at the back post to nod in a last minute equaliser.

The big freeze continues...

...and everything worth covering is cancelled, so here is a recent day's work I did for the Saturday Post.

Mourneview roundup.

A very mixed few days at Mourneview Park began with the Carling Evening of Legends. A great night featuring Blues favourites Denis Guy, Terry Nicholson, Lee Doherty, Tony Grant and the legend that is Jimmy Jones. Then it was back to earth with a bang with another defeat on Saturday.

Woe continues for Glenavon 1-2 Coleraine

Coleraine's debutant Leon Knight stole the show at Mourneview as Marty Quinn's trouble continues. Shocking refereeing decisions denied Glenavon of at least two penalties, but no excuses can be made for allowing Knight so much space for both goals.

Glenavon 1-2 Cliftonville

My first game back as a married man ended in bitter disappointment. A physical, gritty battle from the outset ended with Cliftonville slotting in an injury time winner, after Tony Grant looked to have rescued a point for Glenavon.

Our Honeymoon

Tracy and I got back from our fantastic honeymoon on Tuesday but i've only got round to uploading the photos to flickr this morning.

I've added some photos that I wouldn't normally include. Just some average snaps of us.

The collection is broken up into 3 parts - Hong Kong, Bangkok and Koh Samui.

Glenavon 3-1 Donegal Celtic

Glenavon made it hard for themselves by not putting this game to bed earlier than they did. Celtic's woodwork was struck 4 times but goals from Tony Grant (2) and Trevor Molloy made the points safe and placed the Mourneview men at the top of the pile after 3 games.

Glenavon 1-0 Portadown

A bumper crowd at Mourneview Park witnessed Glenavon's first league win there in a mid-ulster derby in almost 11 years!

Brendan Shannon's late looping shot was enough to spark wild celebrations on and off the field.

The Twelfth

The County Armagh Twelfth demonstration took place in Lurgan this year. Worries of a rain soaked day were brushed aside early as the sun shone all day long. I don't think i've ever had a busier day photography wise with the shutters clicking over 1000 times. Thanks must go to my Fiancée and my Dad for helping me out and getting some great shots also.

Lurgan Golf Club - Captain's Day

I returned to Lurgan Golf Club for Billy Bateman's Captain's Day.

Aided by copious applications of factor 30 (seemingly not enough on my shins, ouch!) I spent 12 or so hours on the second tee box capturing group and action shots.

FAME The Musical - Lurgan Town Hall

Back in March I did the promo shots for the Links Detached Youth Work & Centre Stage Performing Arts Academy production of FAME.

It was now time for the show. A big well done must go to all invloved as they put on an accomplished and professional performance.

I look forward to working with this group again.

Prints are available of any of the FAME photos. Contact me at greenaway39@btinternet.com for enquiries.

Irish Cup Final 2010

Linfield and Portadown contested this year's JJB Irish Cup Final at Windsor Park, Belfast.

Drenched in glorious sunshine, the game burst into life in the second minute with Linfield taking the lead. On 10 minutes it was 2, and the game already looked as if it was slipping away from Portadown. However, they did manage to quickly pull a goal back through a Kevin Braniff free kick.
Portadown failed to build on an impressive end to their first half and Linfield held tight in a tense second period for the win.
