Glenavon 0-1 Portadown

Glenavon's 10 year wait to beat their Mid-Ulster rivals at Mourneview Park continued last night. They failed to convert a number of chances in the first half while dominating for 45 minutes. Trevor Molloy ran the show but the Lurgan Blues just couldn't find that finishing touch. It seemed like two different teams took to the field for the second half as Portadown pushed Glenavon continually and the winner came on 69 minutes. A bitterly disappointing night after a very promising start.

Chins up for next week's Irish Cup Quarter Final lads.

Glenavon 2-1 Institute

Memories of the 1997 Irish Cup Final came flooding back when Tony Grant popped up to grab a late winner and send Glenavon into the quarter final of this year's competition. Both teams had their chances to win the game late on but it was Glenavon who were to prosper. Glenavon's other goal came from Trevor Molloy on 32 minutes.

The dream lives on. Come on you Blues!

Glenavon 6-0 Lurgan Celtic

Lurgan Celtic visited Mourneview in the knowledge that they overturned their town rivals in this fixture last year. It was indeed Celtic who started the brighter and probably could have been in front before Glenavon broke the deadlock on 38 minutes. It was one way traffic after that as Glenavon finished with a 6-0 win. Goals coming from a Gary Liggett hat-trick, a Trevor Molloy brace and a sublime effort from Joe Finlay.

Glenavon 2-1 Coleraine

On fire Coleraine visited Mourneview Park on Saturday with most people giving the home side very little chance of getting a result, but a fantastic display, particularly in the second half saw Glenavon run out 2-1 victors.
