FAME The Musical

I did some promotional work recently for the Links Detached Youth Work & Centre Stage Performing Arts Academy. The groups are putting on a production of "FAME The Musical" in Lurgan Town Hall in May.



What is "Links" Purpose?

To influence positive change on the local community of Lurgan and Craigavon. The region remains one of the most sectarian and deeply divided and volatile areas in Northern Ireland.



Links Mission Statement

Links Limited seeks to practically represent God's love for local community. Through a range of community based programmes and activities, Links will engage, enable, equip and empower people in practical and personal ways.

Institute 1-2 Glenavon

If ever there was a "smash and grab" then this was it. Glenavon seemed to be heading to another defeat after a brutally dour 90 minutes (my opinion). 'Stute had led since 32 minutes when the fourth official held up 6 minutes of injury time to be played. A way back in for Glenavon to grab a point? No...... One better. On 93 minutes Trevor Molloy sneaked the goal and surely the draw. But on 96 minutes, with literally the last touch of the ball, Gary Ligget headed home Glenavon's winner.

Well worth the 140 mile round trip, for the last 6 minutes if nothing else.

Glenavon 1-3 Dungannon Swifts

Glenavon's torrid time of late continued at Mourneview on Saturday, and it only took Dungannon 2 minutes to break the deadlock. Emerson made it 2-0 before the break which more or less finished the game off.
Glenavon did have chances but they are going to have to start putting them away or these are the results they are going to be getting until the end of the season.
On a postive note for Glenavon, Ryan Murphy who came on to make his first team debut put in a great performance, and Joe Finlay notched a late consolation.
Need to get it sorted Blues.

Lurgan Town 3-0 Camlough Rovers

Lurgan Town marched into the semi-final of the Alan Wilson Cup by overcoming a stubborn Camlough outfit. After a shakey first half Town put in a solid second period and could possibly have won by a greater margin.
