Glenavon v Linfield
Linfield came to Mourneview knowing that Glenavon had toppled them a couple of times this season, and for a while it looked like it could happen again. Glenavon took the lead through James Costello but after a shockingly dubious Linfield equaliser the heads dropped and the Belfast outfit ran out comfortable winners.

Some more footy

And I thought last week was bad!
Last week's weather, looking back on it, was a doddle compared to this week's. In what has been described as "impossible conditions" and "worst weather conditions seen in local football in recent years", I managed 30 minutes of the Lurgan Celtic v Harland and Wolff Welders game. The game itself was abandoned after 70 minutes because of the shocking weather. I had planned on covering the 2nd half of the Hill Street game but the damage was done and I packed up and headed for the solace of my house.
On a positive note I did manage to get a few shots for the paper.

2009 - First Assignments
Hectic sums up my first outing of the year. I had the Towns Cup rugby at 2.30 but before that I covered 3 (yes three) of the Junior Football games' first halves. I had roughly 15 minutes at each game before I had to move on.
Getting light into the lens/camera proved a nightmare and by the end I was using ISO3200 at F2.8.
3 galleries to view. I'll keep the Taghnevan v Tandragee game closed until the Lurgan Mail have their go at it.

2008 - that was the year that was.
I have just put up the new calendar and its sank in that another year has passed. For me speaking as a freelance photographer 2008 was awesome! I took in trips to London and Bratislava with a different approach. I also got to meet and photograph legends such as Pat Jennings OBE and Dame Mary Peters DBE.
Outlook and plan for 2009 - I have a few projects in mind which i'll be rolling out from this month hopefully, but basically i'll be taking far more pictures than last year and I hope to continue to learn :)
Below are my favourite (not necessarily my best) images from last year.
